On Saturday, the University at Albany men’s lacrosse team fell to in-state rival Cornell in Dallas, Tx. The loss was only the beginning of the problems for the Great Danes.
On Sunday, the flight that was scheduled to take the Great Danes back to Albany was cancelled, leaving the team with one last option.
Take the bus.
With a trip that could take over a day, the players and coaches seem to be making the most out of the new-found team bonding experience.

Eventually, the team found a stop in Arkansas. It probably wasn’t how freshman Josh Egan pictured his birthday dinner.
Eventually, the trip got back on the road for a long night.
Finally, Sunday turned to Monday as the team crossed into the Eastern time zone.

An early morning stop in Tennessee gave the team a break from the bus.
After some sleep, the team knew they were getting closer to Albany.
At long last, the Danes were down the home stretch.
After what must have felt like an eternity, the Great Danes made it home.
UAlbany’s home opener is Saturday, March 7 vs UMass.
Travel time required for that game: Zero.
