Commuter Series for HTC DROID™ Incredible
By: OtterBox
The OtterBox Commuter series for the Droid Incredible is one tough case. It has two protective layers: a hard outer shell made of plastic and a soft, shock absorbing rubber inner layer. To assemble the case you first fit the soft rubber inner layer around your phone. This layer has little rubber flaps that guard the micro USB port and the headphone jack. It also covers the rocker button for your volume controls and the on/off button at the top of the phone. All the buttons line up perfectly. The volume and the power buttons are bumped out for ease of operation. Once the soft rubber inner case is on you then put it into the hard outer shell.
The easiest way to do this is by lining up the volume button to the cut out in the outside shell. It should then snap right in their respected holes of the outer case. The back has cut outs for the camera, LED flashes, and the speaker. The front has a rim that runs around the phone. OtterBox also includes a screen protector to prevent scratches. The case has a good overall feel. It is very sturdy and gives confidence that it will stand up to unexpected drops. It adds a good bit of padding on all sides, and you can definitely feel the difference when you hold the phone in your hand. It makes the phone a little thicker making it easier to handle.
The only problem I found with the case is that it is smooth on all sides. When I place it down in my car it slides all over the place. I would have liked to see the outer cover have that soft feel coating over it. That would give it a better grip and feel. Overall, this is a very nice case that should help protect your Droid Incredible
