HAMILTON, N.Y. – UAlbany volleyball will take a break from America East play on Wednesday, heading to Hamilton for a 7 p.m. match against Colgate.

This is the lone mid-week match of the year for UAlbany and final regular season non-conference contest.

The Great Danes have played Colgate each year since 2008.  Colgate’s four-set victory last season snapped a four-match winning streak for UAlbany against the Raiders.

UAlbany is coming off a big win over Stony Brook on Sunday at the University Gym.  The Great Danes enter the contest at 3-14 and are 2-0 against New York-based teams this season, including a sweep of Binghamton in September.  Amanda Dolan is the reigning America East Rookie of the Week after hitting .269 with 25 kills this past week.

Colgate, a member of the Patriot League, enters Wednesday at 12-6 after a four-set home victory over Loyola.  The leader in kills with 207 is freshman outside hitter Kathleen Harris, who adds 17 aces and 192 digs.  Senior libero Caitlin Cremin leads the Raiders with 324 digs and 30 service aces.  In addition, assistant coach Kristin Baker played for UAlbany from 2003-06, helping the Great Danes win a pair of America East titles.
