Say goodbye to wires! Here comes
the powermat. The “mat” is a slender board about a foot long. It can charge a
maximum of 3 devices simultaneously, so it eliminates the need for separate
wires, thus saving outlets and a potential bundle of wires. This does have a
minor setback, it can only charge devices that have the appropriate
adapters(sold separately). The company thought about this ahead of time and
included a single “powercube” multi adapter with each powermat, this
“powercube” has several adapters for the more common hand held electronics. The
mat has a built in USB port to charge USB based products.

The mat is also
equipped with lights that let you know which of the ports are being used and
the mat plays a sound when a device is put on/ take off the mat. Once a device
is placed on the “mat” it begins to charge instantly, but the device has to be
placed on one of the three little indents on the mat or else it won’t charge.  Overall the Powermat makes charging devices
that are constantly being moved about a much easier task.

Overall this device is a great way to cut down the clutter on your desk with a high tech solution. However I do not like that each device needs to be specially outfitted with a power mat "adapter."
