Otterbox Reflex Series for iPad 2
It seems as if Otterbox has found the perfect balance between protection and style with their reflex series case for the iPad 2. Not only does the case provide superb protection, it is also slim and wont bulk up your tablet. The three piece silicone and hard plastic case is easy to assemble on the iPad. The case splits in half and allows you to slide one half on from each side of your iPad where the two halves snap securely together again.
There were two features on the case that I really liked. The first is the front cover for the screen, which will protect it from scratches or drops when you’re on the go. Unfortunately you can’t use the tablet while the protective screen is on. When not in use, it can be easily clipped to the back of the case for storage or used for its stand function, which supports different angles for viewing and typing.
The second great thing about the Otterbox is the improvement they make on the iPad’s speaker. Rather than take the easy approach and just put holes where the speaker on the iPad is to allow sound to function properly, they add a feature into the case that redirects the sound from the speaker so that it projects towards the user not away from them. This is a great addition that actually corrects for inconvenient features on the iPad itself.
Otterbox provides some of the best protection for devices money can buy. Their only downfall is their high price. At around 70 dollars, it will definitely do some damage to your wallet, in the end though, its better take a little damage to your wallet than your device.
