Women’s Tennis Hosts Fordham on Saturday
ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany women’s tennis team (5-5) will play in its second home stand of the season on Saturday, as the Great Danes will play host to Fordham (4-3). The match is UAlbany’s first home contest since February 8-9, when they played Hofstra, Marist, and Hartford, and UAlbany will not have another home match until March 30 against Bryant.
Fordham enters the match with two consecutive losses, to UMass and George Washington University. However, the Rams have recorded wins against Fairfield, NJIT, Binghamton, and one additional victory against Manhattan back in September.
UAlbany similarly is on a three-match losing streak, having lost both matches to Princeton and Seton Hall last weekend in New Jersey. The Great Danes and the Rams have faced a common opponent in Army. Both UAlbany and Fordham lost to the Black Knights, UAlbany by a score of 4-3, and Fordham by a score of 5-2.
The match will be played at Tri-City in Latham on Saturday, March 8 at 12:30 p.m.
