Women’s Lacrosse Freshman Dakotah Savitcheff Named to Inside Lacrosse Rookie of the Year Watch
ALBANY, N.Y. – University at Albany women’s lacrosse freshman attack Dakotah Savitcheff was named to the Insider Lacrosse Rookie of the Year Watch List on March 11.
The freshman took the No. 9 spot on the list of the top nine rookies as chosen by Inside Lacrosse. Savitcheff ranks second on the team in goals with 11, and posts a scoring percentage of .555 through UAlbany’s 4-0 start.
Savitcheff was named the America East Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week on March 3 after a six-goal showing at Manhattan. It marked the most goals in the single game for any rookie in Division I Great Dane program history since Ariana Parker scored seven against Hofstra in 2011.
The attack ranks sixth in the conference in goals per game and third among freshmen.
