Berman Earns America East Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week Accolades

CAMBRIDGE, MASS.- Senior goalkeeper Anna Berman was named the America East Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Berman made a total of 15 saves in two wins for the No. 18 Great Danes last week, recording a save percentage of .612. She also allowed just eight goals to help extend UAlbany’s record to 7-0 approaching a game against Niagara on Monday.

The senior is the winningest goalie in Division I UAlbany women’s lacrosse history, and is one win away from tallying 50 for her career.

The Great Danes hit the road for Niagara (3-3) at 2:00 p.m., on Monday.
