Edifice EFA132BK-1AV

The Casio Edifice EFA132BK-1AV is a balance between outdoor function and everyday style. Its black stainless steel body with yellow and green accents on the watch face gives it a look that is classy enough to wear when you dress up, but casual enough to wear around daily. It also has a multitude of features ranging from the basic stopwatch to a more advanced thermometer.
The Edifice was able to fill daily needs as a watch. Its analog and digital displays could be easily read even in the dark with help from the back light on the watch. The Edifice had a stopwatch, countdown timer, and alarm which fit my daily needs nicely. I would use the stopwatch and timer during workouts and I would usually set the alarm to remind me of various tasks throughout the day.
While most of the watch’s features worked flawlessly, I faced some problems with the watch’s thermometer feature. The watch was able to record temperature accurately, however, since I would wear the watch on my wrist, my own body heat would throw off the readings. This caused the watch to read a higher temperature than was actually present. Even though the watch can easily give you a ballpark reading, the only way to get an accurate reading would be to take the watch off completely. Also at about 9 o’clock the watch’s dials will block the thermometer screen making it very difficult, sometimes impossible, to read.
Thermometer watches can be useful in outdoor activities such as diving or hiking. They can help you determine how strenuous circumstances will be in order to make decisions such as how much food or water to bring. The thing I liked about the Edifice was that not only did it have the functionality of an outdoor watch, but it had an expensive look that was perfect for day to day use.
