Previously, we
looking into the InvisibleShield by Zagg as a minimalistic way to protect your
devices. The Flip VideoHD  is the newest in a series of digital camcorders
offering the functionality of a video recorder in a convenient little package.
The menu setup is very well thought out, as only the buttons relevant to your
current selection ‘light up’ on the device.

If you are not
looking at the Flip Video for it’s size then look into the bundled software.
Plug the Flip Video into any windows computer and the Flip software magically
appears giving you instant access to uploading/e-mailing your videos to friends
or family. This way, any computer connected to the internet is capable of
forwarding your cherished videos to anyone..as long as you know their e-mail.

Included in the
intuitive software package is a movie creation tool. FlipShare’s movie-creation
tool makes it easy to string clips together. Though it lacks the ability to add
effects, transitions, ect). What is great, you are not limited to just FlipShares
software. The video captured by the Flip Mino can be imported by any video
editing software (that supports HD videos). 

The FlipMino HD has
a considerable amount of storage, 4GB, which is enough space for about 1 hour
of recording with audio. The mino lacks a memory slot, so you are stuck with
the 4GB limit, however it is more than ample for a night out but definitely not
for someone looking for a device to record a movie.  Also, the device does have a zoom feature,
but on it’s fixed lens quality is quickly degraded.

Overall, the Flip
MinoHD is a great idea for anyone looking for a quick, easy to carry high
definition digital camcorder. The on board software makes any computer a way to
edit and send your videos, without leaving anything behind!
