ALBANY, N.Y. – On the heels of announcing Greg Gattuso as head coach of the University at Albany football program, the Great Danes have released the 2014 CAA schedule. In addition, season tickets are now available for purchase.

UAlbany will play eight games against conference opponents, including four home contests and a first-time meeting with Villanova on the road.

Like last season, UAlbany will open the conference slate against the University of Rhode Island Rams, traveling to Kingston, R.I. on Sept. 20th.

The Great Danes will then host James Madison on Oct. 4th and Richmond on Oct. 11th at Bob Ford Field.

Looking to repeat the success UAlbany last had in Orono, the Danes travel to take on defending CAA-champion Maine on Oct. 18th, and then after a bye week will hit the road again to 2013 NCAA FCS Quarterfinalist New Hampshire.

The Great Danes will play two of the season’s last three games at Bob Ford Field, hosting Delaware Nov. 8th before traveling to Villanova on Nov. 15th. UAlbany will close the 2014 season at home against long-time rival Stony Brook on Nov. 22nd.

All full 2014 schedule, including non-conference contests and game times will be announced at a later date.
