Don’t let the unassuming design fool you, the KEYKatcher
Mini provides a great service for an even better price. Quick and easy, simply
connect KEYKatcher to the keyboard port and in minutes you’ll be ready to
monitor family computer use. The KEYKatcher Mini works just as advertised. It is capable
of recording 64,000 keystrokes, roughly 42 pages of everything typed on the
keyboard. This could include email, social media sites such as Facebook,
Instant Messenger, etc. Because the KEYKatcher takes the hassle out of using
software, all inputted data is stored on a Flash memory chip inside the unit. The
keystrokes can then be accessed using any standard text editing software, open
a new document, and type in your preset password. This password will access the
menu where you can quickly search through the recorded data using NETPatrol and
custom search. These features will direct you to either specific words with in
the recorded text or jump through sites with different web addresses. You can
then save any noted keystrokes in the text editing document to clear up memory
on the chip.
The KEYKatcher Mini also comes with a plastic shrink tube to
secure the connection to the port for any unwarranted attempts to remove it.
Make sure when using it to clear out the memory as frequent as possible if you
are planning on recording keystrokes daily. Likewise, recording can also be disabled.
The unit also works on USB keyboards but will require the additional purchase
of the USB/PS2 adapter set for around $10.00 to $20.00. Lastly, because the
KEYKatcher is a separate unit it cannot be found by detection software and will
save the data collected even if the computer crashes.

Thanks for the great review Seth! This is Doug Kerfoot, the owner of the KEYKatcher and KeyLlama brands of hardware keyloggers.
Allow me to make a couple of minor corrections:
1. It records about 32 pages of text – roughly an average week’s worth of typing.
2. We stopped including the shrink-wrap when we found that just about nobody was actually using it.
3. The case color is now purple to match the standard color of PS/2 keyboard’s connectors. It blends in better than ever.
4. We don’t recommend trying to use adapters for USB keyboards. They don’t work very often and now that you can buy our 4MB KeyLlama USB Value keylogger for under $50 it makes much more sense to buy the product specifically designed to work with your USB keyboard.
