The Vu Plus
From: LG
The Lg VU Plus is the upgrade from AT&T’ s Lg VU phone with the addition of enhanced features such as its 3″ capacitive touchscreen, 7.2Mbps HsDPA, 3 megapixel auto-focus camera, microSD card support, and 50MB of internal storage. If you are not a big fan of the touchscreen or just have not gotten used of using one yet, The Lg VU Plus also has the traditional Qwerty keyboard. I found a minor downside was that there are no spaces in between the letters so if you have large fingers you may find it a bit difficult to type.
Frequent travelers who wouldn’t mind a little entertainment on the road the LG VU plus comes with a Mobile t.v. service which allows you to view your favorite shows on the go. The screen is a perfect rectangular fit for a handheld tv-phone and could certainly be enjoyed without distortion. The LG VU plus also has a GPS navigator. This is a great phone to have because despite its appearance it is actually a lot lighter and smoother in the palm of your hand. The MicroSD slot is conveniently located on the right side of the phone making access to it much easier. In addition there is a microUSB port on the uppertop of the phone which is useful for transferring files and charging the phones battery.
There is nothing more frustrating than getting caught with no service on your cell phone when you need it the most. However, from my experience with the LG VU Plus the reception you will receive is near perfect. I found reception on this phone to be better than my BlackBerry Curve (big surprise there!).The battery lasts for three hours of talking time and he internet was very quick. Overall The Lg Vu Plus is an early marker for LG, promising that they are aiming for the front lines of the cell phone market. The return of the not-so-smart-phones has begun!
