Lacrosse Magazine Midseason All-Americans | Inside Lacrosse Midseason First Team All-Americans

BALTIMORE – UAlbany men’s lacrosse attackmen Lyle Thompson and Miles Thompson have each been named Midseason All-Americans by various lacrosse media outlets.

Corey McLaughlin of Lacrosse Magazine named each Lyle and Miles Thompson First Team Midseason All-Americans, picking Lyle Thompson as the current favorite to win the Tewaaraton Trophy and the Turnbull Award for Most Outstanding Attack in DI men’s lacrosse.

In addition, Inside Lacrosse also named Lyle Thompson a Midseason First Team All-American.

As of Monday, the two stand #1 and #2 in all of Division I men’s lacrosse in points per game.  Lyle Thompson is the NCAA leader in assists per game, tallying 16 goals, 32 assists, 18 ground balls and six caused turnovers thus far.  Miles Thompson is the NCAA leader in goals per game, standing with 30 goals and 14 assists.

UAlbany’s next game will be on Saturday at John Fallon Field when the Great Danes take on Vermont at 7 p.m.
