Miles Thompson Earns Second-Consecutive America East Player of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After making UAlbany men’s lacrosse history on Saturday, Miles Thompson earned his second-straight America East Player of the Week honor, the league announced Monday.

Thompson has earned America East Player of the Week four times this season and five times in his UAlbany career.  Along with two weekly honors for Lyle Thompson, UAlbany has earned six America East Player of the Week awards this season.

Miles Thompson scored six goals and four assists in UAlbany’s road victory over UMBC on Saturday, keeping the Great Danes tied for first place in the America East with a 4-0 conference record.

With his 10 points, Thompson now has 251 points in his collegiate career, the most in UAlbany history.  He leads all of Division I with 4.25 goals per game, totaling 51 on the season.

UAlbany will take on rival Siena tomorrow at 7 p.m. at John Fallon Field.
