Miles Thompson, Ty Thompson Added to Rochester Rattlers Activated List
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Miles Thompson and Ty Thompson have been added to the Rochester Rattlers activated list in Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and may make their league debut on Sunday.
The Rattlers host the Florida Launch at Sahlen’s Stadium on Sunday, June 1 at 1 p.m. in Rochester.
Each Miles and Ty Thompson were drafted by the Rattlers on January 10th and are now eligible to play with the conclusion of UAlbany’s season. Miles Thompson was a third round, 20th overall selection while Ty Thompson was a 4th round, 28th overall selection in the MLL Draft.
Once they hit the field, the players will be the 12th and 13th Great Danes to play in the MLL.
Miles Thompson, co-winner of the 2014 Tewaaraton Trophy, finished his UAlbany career as the all-time leading point and goal scorer in program history, tallying 293 points off 189 goals and 104 assists, including 82 goals and 37 assists this year to total 119 points, the second-highest single season point total in NCAA history.
Ty Thompson, a 2014 Honorable Mention All-American, was one of the top finishers in school history, earning 154 goals, fourth in school history, adding 41 assists to total 195 points in his career. This year he earned 41 goals and 12 assists for 53 points on the season.
Currently, the Rochester Rattlers are 2-2 on the year, coming off a 14-8 defeat against the Denver Outlaws.
