Dart Tag Capture the Flag
By: Nerf
If you’re looking for some simple, easy, fun activities that make you feel like a kid again, check out the Nerf Dart Tag Capture the Flag set. Each set comes with two blasters, two scoring vests, two sets of vision gear, six darts (three orange and three green), and an electronic flag. You can play one on one or get more guns and vests and set up a more intense battle with larger teams.
Using the Stormfire Blasters during the game was satisfying. They were quick to prime and when the time came, they fired accurately and for about 25 feet. The guns have four easily accessible holders for additional darts which made reloading quick. The darts, with their partial Velcro tips, did a good job at actually sticking to the vests so in case you have to play with cheaters who don’t like to admit when they get shot, the evidence is obvious. Unfortunately, the set only comes with three darts per blaster, which will most likely not be sufficient for your game, so additional darts will probably be necessary which run about 12 dollars for a pack of 30.
The electronic Flag has several game modes, entertaining lights, sounds, and motion sensors. It was easy to use and all you have to do to set it up is select your game mode and press the start button. You can choose the regular capture the flag setting in which case alarms on the flag will sound once it is moved or you can choose the search and disarm mode. In the search and disarm mode, you can set a timer to 5 or 15 minutes and if you don’t get to the flag in that time period, the alarm will sound signaling the time is up.
The Dart Tag Capture the Flag set was fun to use. The game was easy to set up and the rules were simple even for first timers. My favorite part about Nerf though is that if you use your creativity, the blasters can be used for almost anything even when you’re not playing capture the flag.
