CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Shereesha Richards continues to rewrite record books, being named America East Player of the Week for the seventh time this season, the most weekly awards won in a single season in the conference.

Her seven Player of the Week honors is the most for any UAlbany women’s basketball player in her career.  She has 14 conference weekly honors in her career, including seven rookie honors.

Starting at Vermont, Richards set a number of new program records, scoring a UAlbany single season record 41 points.  Her 17 field goals and 27 second half points are also new program records.  She added 11 rebounds for her eighth double-double.

Three days later, she led UAlbany past conference runner-up Hartford, scoring 23 points and a career-high 18 rebounds for her ninth double-double of the year.  She shot 11-18 from the field in the game, adding three steals.
