M203 Mixer
By: Stanton
The Stanton M203 Mixer is designed with the goal to be a quality, inexpensive, basic mixer for beginner DJs who are starting cheap. At only $99, it should be affordable by most. Stanton doesn’t sacrifice quality for price however. They still include most features that DJs need to get the job done (detailed features and specifications are below). The set up of the mixer was designed to be simple, straight forward, and easy to quickly understand. This is great for beginners because the mixer does not come off as daunting and intimidating.
Its design was meant to last, not to be a throw away model that you buy for cheap just to use for a few months. Its case is steel and is the same as the one used in Stanton’s higher end mixer, the M207. This gave the device the feel that it was more expensive than it actually was and could withstand being bumped around and transported from venue to venue without breaking.
The M203, despite being inexpensive, still has the necessary features to make basic mixes and the straight forward setup so that you’re not confused by the bells and whistles of more advanced models. The M203 is great if you are starting out and aren’t sure how long you’ll be in the DJ game for and don’t have the money to invest in expensive equipment, or if you just want to fool around and make some mixes with some friends.
