UAlbany Jumps to #15 in Mid-Major Poll
ALBANY, N.Y. – After a strong win over Marist last week, UAlbany has jumped to #15 in the College Insider Women’s Mid-Major Poll.
UAlbany, which is undefeated at 3-0 to start the year, has risen from #20 in the preseason and #17 from last week. The Great Danes earned 311 points, including a first-place vote. For the third consecutive week, UAlbany is the only America East team in the mid-major top-25.
The America East is getting respect from the poll as well, with both Maine and Stony Brook getting votes in the poll.
Gonzaga is once again #1 in the poll with 28 first place votes and 745 points, with Green Bay in second with 708 points. Marist fell to #13 on the list this week. Future UAlbany opponent Quinnipiac is ranked #21, while Northeastern is not in the top 25 but got 16 points.
UAlbany will play Cal State Fullerton tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the SEFCU Arena.
