Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Top 20

BALTIMORE – The Great Danes are ranked #10 in Lacrosse Magazine’s Preseason Top 20, released by the publication on Monday.

According to the publication on its release, the rankings were put together by the magazine staff after talking with college coaches.

The Great Danes are coming off an America East title and berth in the NCAA First Round, falling to Denver on the road.  All three All-Americans, Lyle Thompson, Miles Thompson and Ty Thompson, return, plus all-conference players Jon Newhouse, Ryan Feuerstein, Cody Futia and Blaze Riorden to the team this season.

Reigning national champion Duke was ranked #1 in LM’s rankings, followed by Syracuse.  Rounding out the rest of the top 10 in order is UNC, Denver, Notre Dame, Princeton, Maryland, Penn State and Virginia.
