UAlbany WBB Advances a Spot to #8 in Mid-Major Poll
College Insider Women’s Mid-Major Top 25
ALBANY, N.Y. – UAlbany keeps winning and going up in the College Insider Women’s Mid-Major Top 25, rising to #8 in the rankings released on Tuesday.
With the #8 ranking, UAlbany stays in the top-10 of the rankings for the ninth consecutive week since November 26th. The Great Danes went up from ninth in the poll last week.
The team remains the only America East team ranked in the mid-major poll and the highest-ranked squad in the state of New York. Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference teams Marist and Iona are placed 10th and 12th respectively.
The top three is unchanged from last week, with Gonzaga, Chattanooga and San Diego ranking one, two and three respectively.
UAlbany next plays on Thursday on the road against Stony Brook in a matchup of the top two teams in the conference.
